Biographies

Joi E. Miskel

Attorney at Law Joi McClendon Miskel received her Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Oklahoma in 2000. In 2003, she received her Master’s in American Literature from the University of Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma City University with her Juris Doctorate in 2006. While in law school, Ms. McClendon was a class officer from 2002-2006, a member of Phi Alpha Delta, American Trial Lawyers Association, Native American Lawyers Association, as well as vice-president of the school’s National Women’s Law Student Association and national President of the National Women’s Law Student Association. She has taught English and Philosophy at the college level for over ten years. Ms. McClendon is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, and the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. After graduation from law school, Ms. McClendon was an assistant Public Defender before opening her own practice, focusing on criminal and family law, and litigating numerous jury and bench trials.
